Supporting educational opportunities for all.

Supporting educational opportunities for all.Supporting educational opportunities for all.Supporting educational opportunities for all.

Why sign the Right to Read pledge:

Why do you need me to sign?

We collect these signatures of support from citizens and from organizations and companies. When legislation that threatens the freedom of reading in our schools or libraries, we send a message to our legislators telling them that we want them to reject that legislation and support legislation that guarantees the Right to Read. We send them the list of names and the total  numbers of people from each region so every state representative and senator knows that their citizens support the Right to Read.

No matter if you sign WITH your name or if you want to be ANONYMOUS, your sign-on helps and is necessary to keep our legislature accountable for representating the citizens of the state.

WHERE DO I SIGN?

U-Turn in Education is a grassroots organization, comprised of educators, concerned citizens, and parents of students, who support our education systems in providing a full range of educational opportunities for all. We also resist the obstruction of any of these educational opportunities in our community.  We see value in freely allowing individual educational experiences for all.  Meeting the needs of each student individually is consistent with best educational practices, and also best serves the needs of society by thoroughly preparing students for their futures. The First Amendment and the right  to read are fundamental to our core beliefs.
